Coastal Charm in Gandia

Those who read this blog with some regularity will know that, so to speak, I am somewhat “Raritan” traveling in my preferences, so do not miss them so much to say that I like the beaches, yes, but not in summer.

I tell them this because, for reasons that have little or nothing to do with tourism, this weekend I was on the beach of Gandía, and I have to say that these days out of season; it is a very interesting place, relaxing with a pleasant hint of neglect, without the strain and the summer crowd themselves.

Thus, even without being able to swim, you have the feeling that all the sea is at your disposal, and touring almost exclusively the sand, watching your child run free (if any) without having to worry that some fill sand bold old topless or passing over the sand castle of another little one.

Moreover, they are comfortably empty and deserted small towns (some not so small) that have been built around the beach, with its tall apartment buildings, premises selling bikinis, free buffet restaurants and various attractions tourists (which is not the same as tourist attractions).
